SABI Specialist Series: Trace Fairgrieve BScN

An ongoing series that highlights the specialists who make up the multidisciplinary team behind the SABI Mind Method.

Trace is one of SABI Mind’s Rn’s. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006 with BScN. His work experience includes General Surgery, Emergency, Addiction and Mental Health Consultation Service, and Opioid Dependency Program.

In his own words, “The work at SABI excites me because although we have made progress in the understanding and treatment of mental health disorders and chronic pain, not everyone has found relief. Ketamine-assisted therapy is helping to reach these individuals.”

“What role does your specialization play in our healing phases at SABI Mind?”

Trace - The role my specialization plays is to give clients the confidence that they can safely embark on their journey while a skilled healthcare provider is monitoring them during their discovery session.

“In your own words, what advantage does the SABI Mind Multidisciplinary approach provide to clients?”

Trace - The advantage of a multidisciplinary approach at SABI is that you have confidence that your care is being managed by professionals with unique skill sets. When they collaborate, your care is tailored to your needs based on best practices.

“Why choose SABI Mind as a workplace, given your specialization?”

Trace - I choose to work at SABI mind because of the balanced approach toward health and healing. Progressive attitudes and a fundamental understanding that not everyone will find benefit from a standardized approach in healthcare.
