Expert Researcher Discusses Ambitious New Global Psychedelic Survey

Dr. Philippe Lucas PhD is the president of SABI Mind, a psychedelic clinic group based in Canada, and previously served as Board Chair of MAPS Canada. He is a lifelong researcher of the therapeutic potential of cannabis and psychedelics in the treatment of pain, trauma and addiction, and founded the Vancouver Island Compassion Society, one of Canada’s first medical cannabis dispensaries in 1999.

 Last year, Dr. Lucas helped launch the Canadian Psychedelic Survey (CPS), the most comprehensive survey of adult psychedelic use to date. This week, he and Dr. Stephanie Lake PhD (UCLA) will launch the even more ambitious Global Psychedelic Survey (GPS), which he hopes will draw more than 15,0000 respondents from around the world. He recently shared some insights learned from this research and what it means for the development of psychedelic policy and regulatory models.
