Edmonton Journal: Alberta clinic to help study how psilocybin may treat alcohol use disorder

The Edmonton Journal reported on the first-of-its-kind clinical trail at SABI Mind exploring how psilocybin may help treat alcohol use disorder.

“The hope about a study like the one that we’re doing at SABI is to be able to take people who are experiencing difficulty with the habit of using alcohol every day, and to see whether or not the introduction of psychotherapy associated with psilocybin could actually improve or change the way that they think or relate to alcohol in a way that might lead to reduced use,” Zanussi said.
